Are you out of the paper yet?

Thank you to all who participated on the "Help! I'm Drowning In a Sea of Paper" call last night co-hosted with Hellen Buttigieg. We had over 150 callers join us and it certainly was an information rich call with tips from Hellen on how to get your paper under control.

If you are looking for tools, information and a structure to get your home in order this fall, I hope that you will consider joining Hellen and I for the Get Organized Virtual Retreat which will be held next Thursday September 27th (7-10pm EST) and the following Thursday October 4th (7-10pm EST). This six hour retreat held by phone will give you the space and tools to get your home environment in order. Space is limited to 12 and a few spaces still remain. The cost for the program is $250 US - a fraction of what it would cost to work with Hellen and I individually for this amount of time.

The program includes:
* Six hour virtual retreat held by phone
* A weekly virtual retreat manual to guide you through the process of our calls
* A group follow up call in mid-October (optional)
* Dozens of invaluable tips to get yourself and your environment organized
* Exercises to get you moving forward in a focused way
* Support from hellen and I throughout the two retreat evenings

Here's what past participants have said about the program:
"The process is nice: information, discussion, application, and reflection. It provides a nice flow for learning. I also appreciate the outlines sent beforehand and the notes sent afterward. I am moving through organizing my house one area at a time. As we redo each room, I am using the methods I learned to make decisions, which will help me simplify my life and create a relaxing, elegant, and creative space to live (some of my values!)."
- Amy L. Versnik Nowak, PhD

"(I’ve learned) how to go about purging; staying in one place and not allowing myself to be distracted – the “circle” was the best advice! How good it felt to get “20 minutes” done! (I felt) sense of accomplishment…internalizing it and learning to welcome the challenge vs. being defeated by the amount left to do. Applying it to my individual situation (worked well for my learning and growth); I’m glad you all were willing to listen and remembered and then helped each of us work on our own issues, not just generalized ones. THANK YOU!"
- Carol Campbell

We hope that you can join us next Thursday.

Taking time to refuel

I've been a little silent on this blog for the past few weeks, mostly as I had a wonderful week of business travel last week out to Calgary, Vancouver and Victoria. Being on the road for a week was a welcome change, and it reminded me of how wonderful travel is to get a change of perspective on issues.

After a very busy week, I'm taking some time to refuel today here in Muskoka. What was to have been a two day weekend trip became a three day one, as a reward for my hard work last week. Part of what I love about my work as a coach is that I can work from anywhere. Last week I was able to still meet with many of my clients from the varying locations by phone, and today from my riverside spot in Muskoka. It's a great way to reward myself.

When was the last time you refueled after a busy week or two?

I'll be announcing the fall lineup for our monthly calls later this week including this month's call - Monday September 24th at 9pm (EST). Don't forget the Help! I'm drowning in a sea of paper call this week, Wednesday, from 8-9pm(EST). Myself and co-host Hellen Buttigieg would love to have you join us. Email teleclass@potentialsrealized.com to get the call information.

Have a great week!

Getting In Gear for Back to Work

As I wrote this morning at my Biz Toolkit Blog, many of us are back to "work" this week, just as our kids are back to school. I posted today on 6 Tips for Back to Work Success, which I hope you will click on over to the Biz Toolkit to read.

As a summary, here are my six tips for back to work success:
1. Set some goals or refresh your acquaintance with your goals
2. Take time to plan
3. Keep organized
4. Bring the summertime feel into work more often
5. Keep enjoying those summer activities
6. Unwire, just a bit

I came across a great post by Brad Issac at Achieve IT! last night which I wanted to share with you - 10 Ways to Have a Happy Workday. This is sometimes easier for us to do during the summer months, and Brad's wisdom holds true as we move into September.

Have a balanced week,
Jennifer
